Masutatsu Oyama
Masutatsu Oyama (1923-1994), also known as Mas Oyama was a karate master who founded - Kyokushinkai karate, a major style of full contact karate. May be the toughest martial artist of all time. He was born Choi Yeong-eui, but preferred to be called Choi Bae-dal to indicate his Korean ethnicity, since Baedal is a word for the Korean people. He spent most of his life living in Japan and had citizenship in both Japan and South Korea.
